MCLA History and Political Science Department to Host Panel Discussion on the Israel-Palestine Conflict

October 18, 2023

In light of the recent tragic violence in Israel and Gaza, the MCLA History and Political Science Department will host a panel discussion on Monday, October 30. The panel aims to facilitate a constructive and civil conversation that improves our understanding of this complex situation. This panel is free and open to the public.

The discussion will start at 5 p.m. in Murdock Hall Room 218 and will include political science professors Dr. David Cupery, Dr. Samantha Pettey, and Dr. Robert Bence.

The panelists will collectively explore recent historical relations between Israel and Palestine, important political factors within both Israel and the Palestinian territories, the relationship between this situation and the United States, and potential options for reducing tensions in the region. Panelist presentations will be followed by time for questions.
