Suck it up & Second Seed

Icon Calendar

By Baye and Asa

On View: Nov. 21, 2025

Venable Theatre

Suck it Up: A duet confronting the violent fallout of male insecurity and entitlement, exploring how commercial imagery promises status and breeds entitlement, and how internalized deficiency leads to resentment.

Second Seed: A dance film responding to The Birth of a Nation (1915) by D.W. Griffith, which framed white victim-hood and glorified the KKK. This work challenges those narratives and interrogates the enduring impact of those ideologies on American culture and politics.
