Participating students will have the ability to stay on campus during the second summer session for the duration of the residency, July 7 to August 16, 2025.

The Scholarship
Up to six (6) students will be selected for participation, and each will receive a $5,000 scholarship. This scholarship will pay for on-campus housing and tuition, with remaining funds distributed as a living-expenses stipend.

The Experience
Students will spend sixteen hours per week in internship with MOSAIC, learning about and supporting the program’s various public programs. This could include preparing the gallery for exhibitions, assisting the MOSAIC artist-in-residence on an upcoming exhibition, supporting with marketing and planning efforts for upcoming programs, and more. Students will also have twenty hours per week to work on their own arts-based project, which will be displayed and/or presented to the public at the end of the residency. Finally, they will travel with MOSAIC staff to see a variety of Berkshire area summer arts programming and meet professionals working at those institutions.

Art Project Format
A major component of the residency is the creation and public presentation of an arts-based project.  The project can take many different forms, including but not limited to:

  • Visual Art
  • Music
  • Theatre
  • Dance

Not sure if your project fits within the parameters of the residency? Reach out to us and we’ll be happy to talk through it with you! Email mosaic@mcla.edu to set up a time to talk.
