Heidi Riello, MSW, LICSW Director Heidi holds a master's degree in social work from Simmons College and a bachelor's
degree in psychology from the University of Connecticut. Before joining the MCLA community
in 2011, Heidi spent 3.5 years as a staff counselor in the Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute Counseling Center in Troy, NY and 3.5 years as the Assistant Director of
Counseling Services at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. She also had a private
practice and worked in community mental health on Martha's Vineyard for several years.
Her interests include using cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness in the treatment
of anxiety and depression. On a personal note, Heidi enjoys reading, working out,
music festivals, and spending time with her husband, son, and Cockapoo.

Jon Meehan, MSSW, LICSW Counselor Jon holds a master of science in social work degree from the University of Texas at
Austin, and a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College. He joined the MCLA community in 2004. He worked for many years as a psychiatric social worker in both inpatient and primary
medical care settings at Berkshire Medical Center. Earlier, he worked at Child & Family Services in Easthampton, MA; JRI Health in Boston,
which specialized in health and mental health care for LGBTQ+ and HIV+ young adults;
and a transitional housing program with homeless 18-21 year-olds in Somerville, MA. Professionally, Jon is interested in the overlap of health and mental health, grief
and loss, effects of oppression and stigma, harm reduction strategies, and managing
depression. He tries to employ an individualized, strengths-based approach and promotes building
self-awareness and mindfulness. Personally, he tries to meditate and likes to grow
vegetables, read and learn, and spend time outdoors with his family, partner, and
dog.

Roxanne Morton-Fili, MSW Counselor Roxanne holds a master’s degree in social work from Westfield State University, a
bachelor’s degree in social work from the College of Our Lady of the Elms, and an
associate’s degree in health science from Berkshire Community College. Before joining
the MCLA community in 2017, Roxanne worked at Clinical & Support Options in Pittsfield
as an outpatient therapist, in-home therapist, and community support worker. She also
worked at BFAIR, a non-profit organization serving people with developmental disabilities,
autism, and traumatic brain injury, and at Valleyhead School, a residential school
for girls with learning and emotional difficulties. On a personal note, Roxanne enjoys
watching plays, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family, including her
children, grandchildren, and dogs.

Claire Cabiles, MSW, LICSW Counselor Claire holds a master's degree in social work from the State University of New York
at Albany and a bachelor's degree in sociology from the City College of New York.
Before joining MCLA Counseling Services, Claire worked for the Brien Center in Great
Barrington for more than 17 years. She worked as a Home-School Liaison in Bennington
Elementary School in Vermont and has a private practice at Greylock Mental Health
in downtown North Adams. Claire's professional interests include mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral
treatment. On a personal note, she enjoys outdoor activities, gardening and spending
time with her family.

Joan Dornhoefer, MSW, LCSW-R Counselor Joan holds a master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree
in social work from Trenton State College. She also holds certificates in advanced
clinical social work and in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Before joining the MCLA community
in 2017, Joan worked in the East Harlem section of New York City as a fieldwork advisor
and then assistant director of fieldwork at Hunter School of Social Work. Joan began
her career in student counseling services at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. Later
she worked in Newark’s Children’s Hospital and then as a clinician and supervisor
in NYC at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry. Joan has also worked as
an adjunct college professor at Hunter School of Social Work and at Orange County
Community College. Her professional interests include developmental theory and the
impacts of trauma; family systems; and cultural competencies. Joan and her wife moved
to Vermont in 2017 pursuing a life that reflects their interests in sustainability
and in reducing human impacts on the natural environment. Music, reading, and dogs
balance the rest of her time.

Marissa Parker Office Manager Before joining MCLA Counseling Services in 2018, Marissa worked at MASS MoCA as the
Office Manager for its administrative office. She then went on to work at Adams Plumbing
and Heating and the North Adams Housing Authority. Most recently, she was the Manager
at Ramunto's for both its North Adams and Williamstown locations. On a personal note,
Marissa enjoys camping, traveling, fishing, live concerts, spending time with family
and friends, and hanging out with her dogs.

Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr. Brodie is board-certified as both a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and an Adult
Psychiatrist. She received a bachelor's degree from Smith College, and her Doctor
of Medicine (MD) and master's degree in social work from the University of Vermont.
After completing medical school, Dr. Brodie was accepted at a competitive 5-year combined
residency training program in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent
Psychiatry called the Triple Board program. As a resident physician, she had extensive
training with 20,000+ direct patient care hours. Since completing her residency training
in 2008, she has worked in a variety of practice settings including an urban Healthcare
for the Homeless Clinic working with runaway and homeless youth, a rural Federally
Qualified Community Health Center, a Community Mental Health Center, residential treatment
programs, her own private practice, and K-12 and College Counseling Centers. She has
particular interest and expertise in working with LGBTQ patients and their families.
She is committed to increasing her personal and professional understanding of social
justice, anti-racism, feminism, equity and inclusion, and incorporating this awareness
into her medical practice and the care that she provides her patients. Dr. Brodie
is available to students for psychiatric evaluation and consultation; initiating psychiatric
treatment including pharmacotherapy; on-going medication monitoring and management;
psychotherapy; and collaborative psychiatric care with students’ therapist and/or
home psychiatrist while they are on campus.
