Green Dot

The Green Dot program is a nationally recognized bystander intervention initiative aimed at reducing sexual and dating violence and fostering a culture of respect on campus.

Logo for Green DotGreen Dots represent everyday choices to prevent harm—whether by stepping in during a concerning situation, starting a conversation with a peer, or modeling respectful behavior. When more people choose Green Dots over inaction, we move toward a safer, more caring community.

The Green Dot Commitee at MCLA is made up of staff and faculty across departments who coordinate programming throughout the year. We are eager to collaborate with all kinds of campus groups (including but not limited to student leadership, athletic teams, and classes) to bring a Green Dot workshop to you!

Ways to Get Involved

  • For students, staff, and faculty: attend a workshop to build your bystander skills
  • For students: ask your team, club, or leadership group to request a workshop
  • For faculty and staff: inquire about joining the Green Dot committee and becoming an instructor
  • For faculty: host a workshop in your class; encourage or incentivize your students to attend a session

Contact wellness@mcla.edu for more information, to schedule a workshop, or to inquire about joining the Green Dot committee.
